Reyhane Aarabi

CEO

I am Reyhane Aarabi, owner of Diba Parse brand. I was born in 1986 in Esfahan where is well known as half the world. Esfahan as a historical city was my first tutor that encouraged me to choose a different path. In 2000, I was admitted in the entrance exam of Iran conservatory to study graphics which was a bridge between me and my dream, study printing or textile design at the university. Unfortunately, due to some unpredictable events, I could not succeed and finally, I was accepted in hand-woven carpet at Art and Science university in Yazd, in 2004.

I strongly believe that it was an informative period full of memories and experiences, which made an excellent opportunity for me to meet some prominent masters. Mr.Toraj Jole, Mr. Ebrahimpour, Mr. Jafar Dadkhah who encouraged me to find my future among flower and arabesque patterns can be good examples here. In 2008, when I graduated from the university in bachelor degree, I had got a valuable lesson, if you do not try to achieve experiences, neither being an artist nor thinking such as an artist is completely impossible so, I started to design carpet as a freelancer.

In 2012, I was admitted at Tehran Art university with 9 rank, which made an endless potential and strong motivation to launch my first atelier where I produced Persian Hand-Woven Carpet  and Tapestry for more than 5 years. During my years at the university, I always had a specific attention on textile printing students’ activities and projects, which made Batik as an inseparable part of my life.
I attained precious experiences in the field of producing handicrafts. I have started my work as an Adjunct Professor in the Handicraft department at Hormozghan university to teach natural dying, hand-print and weaving carpet and textile since 2017.

Definitely, Pattern School courses has had positive effects in my career life to focus on Batik seriously. Fortunately, I have concentrated on textile design and silk hand-print since 2018. Producing an artistic fabric which has beneficial influences both on ecosystem and customers has been my concerns, which enable me to set up my brand, Diba Parse, under the supervision of Dr Ali Nourizade who has his personal style to produce unique textile and I am sure it is a milestone in my life.

Numerous courses such as: Brand Identity and Strategy under the supervision of IE Business University of Spain, Sustainable Fashion under the supervision of Copenhagen business school, Textile and weaving fashion Design under the supervision of Indian Design League and textile course at Mehrazi Fashion Institute, also played a very important role in forming Diba Parse. Eventually, after many ups and downs, what should have been done.
